Top 10: Things To Look Forward To In 2010
Another year over, a new one just begun… Well, in a few hours at least! Here are just a few of the things I’m excited about for the year to come…
1: New Season, New Shoes
I’m always excited about new shoes, and here is a selection of the most stunning shoes for spring… And once I get bored of these there is always autumn!
2: True Blood Season 3
OMG, I can’t wait! I literally can’t wait!
3: Short ‘n’ Sweet
Legs are in fashion again, and I love it. Short, shorter, shortest! Best get down to that gym immediately and get on with some brazilian bum lift or some such thing.

4: Filmtastic
So many good films coming out next year…! Of course, Sex and the City 2 is out in May, which I’m sure we’re all looking forward to. Then there is A Single Man, Tom Ford’s beautiful directorial debut (beautiful photos here), is released in Norway and most of Europe on the 12th of February. Then of course, there is The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which is out on the 30th of June. Now, of course Eclipse is the most boring book out of the four, so let’s hope they manage to make the film more interesting. One thing is for sure though, I am not going anywhere near a cinema to see it until the tweens have had it to themselves for a good couple of weeks, I learn from my mistakes.
Finally, I’m well excited by the latest Tim Burton adventure, Alice In Wonderland is out early March, and boy – doesn’t Johnny Depp look amazing?
5: Tunetastic
I am equally excited about all the amazing new music that is set to be released in 2010:
January:
Charlotte Gainsbourg & Beck – IRM
MGMT – Congratulations
Vampire Weekend – Contra
February:
Hot Chip – One Life Stand
Yeasayer – Odd Blood

May:

TBA:

Cat Power – tba

Of Montreal – False Priest
Panda Bear – tba
Radiohead – tba (recording in January 2010)
The Dead Weather – tba
The Strokes – tba (recording in January 2010)
6: Legtastic
As if the short short skirts weren’t enough, leg wear is in focus for spring.
Loveable leggings designer James Lillis of Black Milk has promised us a whole new collection of legtastic leggings in January, and what that man can’t do with lycra isn’t worth knowing.
Denim mania will also hit us hard, so it’s time to branch out and get some funky ones!

7: Oslo Concerts
I’m looking forward to, and hopefully going to most of these concerts in 2010:
The XX – 18th January, @ Garage (sold out)
Spank Rock – 28th January, @ Blå
Brett Anderson, 29th January, @ Parkteateret Scene
Mew, 13th February, @ Sentrum Scene
Florence & The Machine, 1st March, @ Rockefeller
La Roux, 2nd March, @ Rockefeller
8: Colour Me Beautiful
Hooray! Colours are back!

Bottom left: Lanvin, Diane von Furstenberg, Basson & Brooke, Nanette Lepore, Thakoon
9: More Is More
It’s like I’ve always said, minimalist is all well and good, but I’m a flamboyant, ott girl at heart. Bring on the brilliant SS2010 accessories!
10: A Beautiful Life
So what are we going to be doing to our faces, bodies and hair next year? Bleaching our eyebrows it seems, though I think that will make me look like a cancer patient, so I’ll leave that to people with less severe colouring than myself. Also the Wang Rapunzel braiding is also out since I cut off all my hair during the worst of the summer’s heatwave. So bodypaint and nude Chanel nails it is then!
From the top: Bodypaint at Chanel, bleached eyebrows at Lanvin and Givenchy, braids at Alexander McQueen and Alexander Wang, the it polish for SS2010 – Chanel Particulére, as seen on Lily Allen

oh yes, these are reasons to be excited!! All those albums,…. especially Arcade Fire I am going to die happy! 😉 Looks like we have some similar taste in music, the only one I haven’t listened to is Panda Bear so I’m off to check them out. Also so excited for the new line of Black Milk tights!
Panda Bear is just lovely, he is one half of Animal Collective and even dabbles a bit in fashion now and again. I first heard of them about 2 years ago on New York when my boyfriend struck up a conversation with the shop assistant in Betsey Johnson about him, randomly! Definitely check it out!
