Runway Shoes SS2010
So what are we all going to want to be wearing on our feet next summer? Or rather what do the designers intend to offer us, because the two aren’t necessarily the same thing. There were many many shoecrushes in the styletastic camp over the past month, and equally shoes that broke our hearts into a million pieces. One thing is for sure, the 80s have had their time, now we must ready ourselves for the 90s revival…
Ok, so the mule is back (scream and run the other way!!). Not only is the mule back, but the wedge mule is back. Now, it is actually slightly alluring and I can already see the fash pack putting themselves down on a waiting list for this one. Personally, I think they are ugly as sin, give me the peep toe leopard wedge any day.
Ok, so we won’t actually be wearing any of these shoes, because even those professional models were a bit wobbly on the super straight and smooth runway. Imagine trying to run for the bus on cobblestones in these babies! My feet are actually cramping up just writing about them. I love these elephant shoes really, but I just want to have them to look at, I don’t think these even qualify as “carry me home shoes”.
Told you grey was going to be big, didn’t I? These sandals are super sexy and actually don’t look too uncomfortable either. Loving the silver sock inside the right shoe!
First the mule, now the clog? WTF?! I think Karl Lagerfeld secretly (or not so secretly) hates women.
Finally something wearable! Sensible heel height, supernice flats… Love it!
Supersexy wedges, here we come! And apparently socks inside sandals will not be just for those moccasin loving men out there, sheer silver socks means us Scandis can start wearing strappy sandals before May. Yay!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! Next season is all about the wedge, and Givenchy’s bandage versions are super hot!
I predict Gucci’s super sexy heels are going to be the most copied by other brands and also the most worn by Rhianna and the Olsen twins.
Lingerie for the feet and opulent details at John Galliano. Very cool pearl heels too!
Fashion week’s biggest WTF moment. I have no words.
Back on form for his own line, Marc Jacob’s cute ethno sports shoes rocked.
All hail the 90s block heels! Miu Miu served up something a little bit different than the other designers, and methinks the others will be following Miucca’s example next season.
Block heels, mules and perspex, all in one shoe! 90stastic!
Hmm, a little Pedro Garica-esque, but these cork platforms look really comfy!
Ok, so when you walk into a room your shoe comes first, then the rest of you follows, but I’m loving the unashamedly girlishness of Valentino’s footwear offerings.
Hallelujah, YSL really knows how to make a girl fall in love. Love the quirky attached heel and the rough snakeskin materials.
